Random Thoughts on Current Events

No names, tags or pics. I just want to express my opinion on what happened, not troll anyone or start a flame war.

There's a saying that we are made to bear the sins of our fathers.

On the other side of the the coin, some of us get to revel in the glories achieved by our fathers as well. In my case, it'sa little of both.

It is one thing to be proud of what your parents have done and to want to honor them. It's an entirely different thing to feel entitled to the same honor that they worked hard for just because you share the same last name and DNA.

Just because our ancestors are heroes doesn't mean we could rise up against a tyrant or even last five minutes in the event of a foreign invasion.

This country is not a monarchy. We don't become leaders because our parents were, and this country is not a part of anyone's inheritance, no matter how rich a family he or she comes from.

I probably would vote for the current popular choice, but only because he is the lesser of two(actually more) evils. Not because in my heart and mind, he is the ideal leader.

I have to admit that the youngest daughter would be a better choice, if what they had in mind were a charismatic leader. She has the strongest personality. However, I am not a fan.

Furthermore, it's not even campaign period, yet. What they are doing looks, smells, and feels like campaigning, therefore it must be.

Cheating is cheating, no matter how small. Bending the rules or going around them on technicalities is CHEATING.

  1. Prior to the announcement, I knod of made my mind that I will not vote for him. But then I realized, his personality may not be as strong as the their youngest sibling and he may have not done anything big being a senator but at least I'm sure, his integrity is intact.

If Gibo is not running, he will surely be my bet now that Mar gave way for him.

I agree with you, they are annoying. Actually I'm afraid that Noynoy will become a puppet if he wins but I trust that he is better than that.
